CEO - Nick Peters (Class of '94) founded Student Organized Services (SOS) as a division of the non-profit Stanford Eating Clubs, Inc. (SEC) in 1995 shortly after graduating from Stanford University with a B.A. in Economics. While at Stanford Nick worked both at central Residential Education (the department that SOS contracts for) and as a KM/FM during his three years as an undergrad from October 1991- June 1994. Nick purchased the SOS division from SEC in January 2009 (and created Student Organized Services, Inc.) and continues to do his best to preserve the traditions in student management from which his business arose.

As such Nick has made a career out of providing the HR, financial policy, and legal back-end support for the Row at Stanford serving ~41 kitchens throughout the campus and helping foster the student management program. From 1995-1999 Nick was both GM at SEC and Director of SOS providing HR to the Row. In 1999 Nick went full time as HR outsourcing director for the SOS division, While working on his MBA in 2004 and 2005 Nick added several new services to the SOS contract, the main ones being assuming a role as financial advisor from 2004-2011 for the Row, Capital Resource Fund trustee in 2007-2010, Project Manager for Compost on the Row in 2006 to present, and SOS Buyer's Group block purchase advisor and manager to present.
Nick married Rachel Barnett (Class of '97) in 2006 and they live in Redwood City with their son, Dylan (born March 2008). In his spare time Nick enjoys playing, writing, singing, and producing music with his bands and label-mates through Toothless Monkey Records and Bodydeep Music.
Head Chef/Kitchen Advisor - Helge Ternsten has been working as a chef in various capacities on the Stanford Campus since 1979 or so. After a year and half at Tressider, 19 years at Alpha Sig (now Kappa Alpha Theta), and his 10 most recent years at Kappa Sigma, Helge has now moved to a management/supervisory role within student management helping to oversee chefs, chef assistants, and kitchen managers. Helge enjoys painting in his spare time and has had his works featured in many local exhibits and art shows.
